It's George's birthday today. The first George, not the current one. Did you know the federal holiday we just celebrated is really not Presidents Day? It's really Washington's Birthday.
You'll read on a lot of Web sites that Nixon signed an Exec Order in 1971 designating the third Monday in February as "Presidents Day," as a way of combining Lincoln's Birthday (a holiday in many states) and Washington's Birthday (2/22/1732).
